学习外语,学习者所掌握的词汇量大小直接决定了外语学习效率和考试成绩,因此,科学地了解学习者的词汇量对于推进大学英语教学是重要的。运行英语语料库统计发现,英语词汇的主要特点是词汇量大,重复率低,常用词汇分布广。根据这一特点,可用分阶段测试法、词典测试法、词频分级测试法和课文阅读测试法等方法来进行测试,而课文阅读法对于了解教学进展和提高学习主动性最有帮助。
Learning foreign languages, learners grasp the size of the vocabulary directly determines the efficiency of foreign language learning and test scores, therefore, a scientific understanding of the learner’s vocabulary for promoting college English teaching is important. Running English corpus statistics found that the main features of English vocabulary is a large vocabulary, low repetition rate, widely used vocabulary. According to this feature, we can use the method of phased test, dictionary test, word frequency test and text reading test to test, and the text reading method is most helpful for understanding teaching progress and improving learning initiative.
