Objective To investigate the effects of long-term, low-dose chronic radiation on the incidence of acute caries, laryngitis and dry mouth in special environmental workers and to objectively analyze the oral health status of special environmental workers so as to provide basis for further improving their protective ability. Methods According to the “Basic Methods of Oral Health Surveys” published by WHO and the standard equipment, the latest WHO standard grading methods were used to investigate the incidence of acute caries, pharyngitis and dry mouth in special environmental workers. Results The incidence rate of acute caries and the incidence of dry mouth symptoms in special environment workers were higher than those in normal environment, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05), while the total incidence of pharyngitis was not significantly different from that of the general environmental staff Statistical significance (P> 0.05). Conclusion Long-term, low-dose chronic ionizing radiation can affect the oral health of special environmental workers. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the prevention and treatment of oral diseases of special environmental workers, raise the awareness of individual protection, strengthen the monitoring and protection of radiation dosages, and effectively reduce the effects of ionizing radiation on Special environment staff health damage.
