本文考察了出口技术复杂度对一国全要素生产率的影响。理论分析表明,出口技术复杂度提升可以为干中学提供更广阔的空间,有助于形成正向反馈的经济循环,使出口产品较少受到贸易条件恶化的影响,减轻来自低工资国家的竞争压力,从而提高一国的全要素生产率。利用2000—2015年全球87个主要国家面板数据的实证研究发现,出口技术复杂度对全要素生产率有着显著的正效应,发展中国家出口技术复杂度提升对全要素生产率的促进作用高于发达国家。发展中国家应致力于实现由传统生产结构到现代生产结构的转型,提高出口商品的技术复杂度。
This article examines the impact of export technical complexity on a country’s total factor productivity. Theoretical analysis shows that the increase of export technical complexity can provide a broader space for learning by doing and contribute to the formation of an economic cycle of positive feedback so that exports are less affected by deteriorating terms of trade and reduce competition pressure from low-wage countries Thus increasing the country’s total factor productivity. Using empirical data from 87 major national panel data from 2000 to 2015, it is found that the technical complexity of export has a significant positive effect on total factor productivity and that the enhancement of technical complexity of exports by developing countries has a greater positive effect on the promotion of total factor productivity than that of developed countries . Developing countries should commit themselves to realizing the transition from the traditional production structure to the modern production structure and increase the technical complexity of export commodities.
