Norman Mailer is a recognized contemporary talented Jewish writer in the United States. His work style is fickle and imaginative, and he has always been closely linked to the major U.S. social problems in one village. Written in 1965, “A American Dream” is one of Mailer’s masterpieces. Roger, the hero of the book, experienced all the evils of the American way of life in a thrilling thirty-two hours. From one side of the novel, the novel reflects the collusion between the highest political power in the United States and triad societies. Some of these characters and plots have the symbolic meanings of the upper-class and lower-class societies in the United States.
