The oil-class oil tanker is an oil tanker capable of navigating in the waters of the ice and sailing primarily in the Baltic and Arctic seas. Taking into account the navigation environment, the structural performance of the ice-class oil tanker and hull ruggedness is superior to ordinary oil tankers. At the same time, due to the higher requirements of ice-class tankers on power, the structure of fuel tanks is also significantly different from ordinary tankers. According to the classification of Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, an ice-sized tanker capable of traveling in a 0.8-meter-thick layer of ice is “1A” grade and capable of driving “1 *” grade in an ice sheet of 1 meter or more. These two types of tankers are commonly referred to as high-grade structural-enhanced ice-grade tankers.
