英语语音教学是整个英语教学的起点。然而,大学英语专业语音教学仍存在较严重的问题,语音教学至今仍然是最薄弱的环节。英语专业学生的语音基本技能达不到教学大纲规定的要求,语音能力差,导致学生在其它英语专业课程的学习上也是举步维艰,并且在很大程度上妨碍了英语整体水平的进一步提高。本文从一道听写试题入手,探讨学生由于语音不过关而造成听力能力下降,导致在考试中听写部分犯错,从而说明了英语语音教学的重要性以及在教学中应当解决的问题。
English phonetics teaching is the starting point of English teaching. However, college English majors still have more serious problems in pronunciation teaching, and audio teaching is still the weakest link. The basic phonetics skills of English majors fail to meet the requirements of the syllabus, and they have poor pronunciation skills. As a result, students are also struggling to learn in other English major courses, and to a large extent hinder further improvement of the overall English level. This article begins with a dictation test, discusses students’ hearing ability caused by the lack of speech, resulting in dictation in the examination part of the mistakes, thus illustrating the importance of English phonetics teaching and the problems that should be solved in teaching.
