Bilateral lower extremities of 100 diabetic patients (observation group) who were treated from October 2015 to October 2016 were examined by color Doppler imaging and compared with age-matched 100 normal subjects (control group). Results: The incidence of atherosclerotic plaque in lower limbs was 13.6% in control group and 58.3% in observation group, which was higher than that in control group. Patients with diabetes, dorsalis pedis artery and so have varying degrees of stenosis, with the thickness of the medial membrane with statistical significance. However, the femoral artery differences did not reach statistical significance. Conclusion: Diabetic patients are more prone to lower extremity atherosclerotic disease, color Doppler can clearly show the scope and location of lower extremity atherosclerosis.
