The success or failure of a deep well depends on the casing’s suspension equipment, and the driller knows more about the purpose of the equipment, but few people know about its design factors. This paper attempts to provide some help for the selection and evaluation of ultra-deep well suspension equipment. The casing hanger’s load suspension capability is determined by three variables: slip length, kVA angle, and friction between slip and bushing. Adding any of the above variables increases hanger capacity, which often requires loads that exceed the casing weight. The additional load to be applied to the hanger (when suspending the load equivalent to the connection strength) shall be calculated and the hanger shall withstand a test equivalent to the working pressure of the wellhead
