1991年,杜先生从湖南只身来到西雅图,先在中餐馆做厨师,后来学了一手做日本餐的手艺,便开始在日本餐馆做素喜师傅。10年后,杜先生买下一家日本餐馆,取名“北海道”,自己做老板。因为经营有方,一年下来,“北海道”已在本地小有名气,食客盈门,许多当地的日本人也成了常客。“北海道”开业首年赢利近50万美元,杜先生喜笑颜开,考虑再开一家分店。
In 1991, Mr. Du came to Seattle from Hunan alone. He worked as a chef in a Chinese restaurant and later learned the craft of making Japanese meals. He started to work as a chef in Japanese restaurants. Ten years later, Mr. Du bought a Japanese restaurant named “Hokkaido” and made his own boss. Because of the well-run business, one year, “Hokkaido” has a small famous local, diners busy, many local Japanese have become regulars. Hokkaido opened the first year of nearly half a million U.S. dollars in profit. Mr Du smiled and considered opening another branch.
