5月26日,eBay与Yahoo发表联合声明,双方已结成以广告、电子商务、搜索为核心的多年战略合作伙伴关系。业内普遍认为,对两家公司而言,这次联姻是一次双赢的举动。Yahoo将成为eBay所有第三方图形广告独家供应商,并提高Yahoo搜索结果中eBav结果的质量。Yahoo将采用PavPal服务作为独家第三方网络钱包供应商,允许客户PayPal余额支付Yahoo服务。Yahoo搜索和网站链接将嵌入到联合品牌的eBay工具栏中。“点击通话”能够在广告中包含一个链接,用户可以直接与广告商通话购买商品。Yahoo和eBay的合作对Google来说是一个有趣的挑战,由于它们的联合将会给Yahoo的广告搜索带来很大的推进。而根据金融时报,Google领导着广告搜索这块大蛋糕,预期今年会为公司带来100亿美元的收益。
May 26, eBay and Yahoo issued a joint statement, the two sides have formed advertising, e-commerce, search as the core of the multi-year strategic partnership. The industry generally believes that the two companies, the marriage is a win-win move. Yahoo will be the exclusive supplier of all third-party graphics ads to eBay and improve the quality of eBav results in Yahoo search results. Yahoo will use the PavPal service as an exclusive third-party web wallet provider that allows customers to pay Yahoo services for PayPal balances. Yahoo search and website links will be embedded into co-branded eBay toolbars. “Click to call ” can include a link in the ad, allowing users to talk to advertisers directly for purchases. The partnership between Yahoo and eBay is an interesting challenge for Google because their alliance will bring a huge boost to Yahoo’s ad search. According to the Financial Times, Google led the ad search for this big cake, is expected to bring the company 10 billion US dollars this year.
