Throughout the history of world cultural development, many literary works have been closely linked with the creation of music, and the two have infiltrated and interacted with each other. As an indispensable link in the process of literature and music creation, subject matter selection has a close connection with the two. This article attempts to study the application of literary themes in different types of musical works from the narrative, lyrical and dramatic aspects to broaden our understanding of the interplay between literature and music.
