音乐教育是实施素质教育的有效手段和不可或缺的方面。本文从音乐与教化、音乐与思维、音乐与交往三方面分析了音乐教育在大学素质教育中的地位与作用。针对目前大学音乐教育的现状，提出了以下改进措施：第一，从全面实施素质教育的高度认识大学音乐教育的重要性；第二，多渠道构建大学音乐教育的实施途径；第三，全面提高大学音乐教师的专业水平和文化素养。
Music education is an effective means and an indispensable aspect of implementing quality education. This article analyzes the status and function of music education in college quality education from three aspects: music and education, music and thinking, music and communication. According to the current situation of university music education, the following improvements are proposed: First, the importance of university music education should be recognized from the perspective of implementing quality education in an all-round way; second, to build a multi-channel approach to the implementation of university music education; and third, College music teacher’s professional level and cultural accomplishment.
