记得第一次读到徐訏先生的文章,是朱栋霖先生主编的《中国现代文学选》中的《鬼恋》。我当时惊叹世界上还有这么好的小说,于是便把徐訏先生的小说一本一本地都找来读。可惜图书馆对于徐(?)先生的作品收录甚少,所以只读了徐先生的一些中短篇,例如《阿拉伯海的女神》、《离婚》、《彼岸》、《禁果》等。还好后来我终于从别地图书馆里找到了《风萧萧》这本书,我现在依然可以记得我在读这本书时所享受的快乐与欢愉。 I remember the first time I read Mr. Xu Yong’s article is “ghost love” in “Modern Chinese Literature Selection” edited by Mr. Zhu Donglin. At the time, I was amazed at the fact that there are such wonderful novels in the world, so I read the novels of Mr Xu Xun one by one. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of short and medium passages of Mr. Xu’s works, such as The Goddess of the Arabian Sea, Divorce, The Other Bank, Forbidden Fruit and so on. Fortunately, I finally found the book “Wind and Sluggishness” from the libraries in other places. Now I still can remember the happiness and joy I enjoyed reading this book.
