One system that achieves these goals has been tested at IncoLimited CopperCliff North nickel mine. The system uses a high-speed, high-volume production network as well as a 3D video system and radio remote control to remotely control a scraper during loading and unloading. After loading, the operator dispatched a scraper via an alleyway to Lancun using an automatic guidance system. Sliding mine unloading operation remote control is completed, the scraper returns to begin the next cycle. This leads to a substantial increase in production efficiency and safety. Efficiency is improved because the operator controls only the loading and unloading stages of the cycle.
