2008年的中国内地拍卖市场原本希望顺延上年末的良好势头,并搭乘奥运的东风,两个优势相加,即便不能达到一个新的拍卖起点,也最不可能出现大的波动。可是在2008年这个一波三折的年份,什么都有可能发生,什么也已经发生,因此,5.12大地震没有撼动的内地拍卖市场,终于在年末被突然而至的金融危机中撞了个人仰马翻。而纵观整个中国当代艺术在2008年的拍卖走势,春拍前,就有苏富比在纽约和香港两地一冷一热的成交结果传回国内,引起内地一阵猜测,有人认为中国当代艺术已经度过了最辉煌的时刻,也有人认为市场依然保持强劲的热情。而内地春拍开始后,细心的市场人士也很快发现中国当代艺术已从顶峰迈入了真正意义上的回调,“强劲的热情论”不攻自破。可是谁也没有想到这样的回调在年末的几个月来的异常迅猛。因此,中国当代艺术从今年秋季向回看,可谓一波三折,耐人寻味。

Therefore, looking back on China’s contemporary art from this fall, it can be described as twists and turns and intriguing.
