Based on the accurate calculation of the chromatic dispersion in the Ti: sapphire laser including air, the supercontinuum laser spectrum with spectral coverage of 540-1030nm was obtained by direct selection of the chirped mirror and the simple four-mirror structure. The related physics and techniques for achieving spectral width over one octave are analyzed.
