1.粤圆4号、5号,是以抗病力强的粤圆1号与丰产品种新圆1号及新圆2号作亲本进行有性杂交选育而成的新品种。两个品种具有许多共同优点:抗炭疽病力强,早播不早花,植株及分枝离地均高,且麻骨硬、麻皮厚、出麻率高,耐肥、抗风力及适应性均强,产量高。粤圆4号、5号比目前大面积推广的新圆1号分别增产16.6%及22.6%。1966年将进行大面积推广。2.从黄麻丰产类型结构分析,初步认为植株及分枝离地要高,麻茎要硬,麻皮要厚,而茎硬与皮厚又有密切关系。一般厚皮的品种多是有腋芽的。生长初期不宜过于迅速,特别是抗炭疽病力强及对早春短光照不甚敏感的品种。3.黄麻杂种抗病性表现比较复杂,可能是基因的互补作用或多基因的遗传现象。杂种第二代不论选择抗病或感病单株,共后代仍然分离出不同程度成病类型。而杂种第三代表现抗病的单株,在其后代亦表现抗病趋向。初步认为黄麻杂种抗炭疽病定向选择,应在第三代严格鉴别,这样就有可能在其后代获得合乎选择要求的抗病优良品种。4.选用晚熟品种作亲本的杂种后代,较选用中熟种作亲本后进行早播,定向选择,容易获得早播不早花的新品种。为了育成早播不早花的新品种,一定要选用晚熟亲本或其中至少有一个亲本是晚熟的。
