从电子学的角度看,我们生活的真实世界是模拟的,而充满数字信号的世界是人类创造出来的。在经过数字处理器和模拟芯片的共同工作后,人类将真实世界与数字世界串连起来,模拟信号与数字信号之间可以方便地转换,有时也涉及滤波和放大。真实的世界里,光线、温度、水流等需要测量的信号都是模拟的。相对数字信号而言,模拟信号有很多缺点——不好保存、不好处理、容易受干扰、失真、衰减、不好传送等。例如
