随着全球化发展,各国间经济文化往来更加紧密。影视作品是文化领域受欢迎的形式,大量西方影片受到国人追捧。但我国字幕翻译的研究起步晚,缺乏行业规范和系统的指导,导致翻译质量良莠不齐。本文尝试从功能主义目的论对电影《幸福来敲门》英译汉字幕翻译进行浅析,尝试阐释目的论对字幕翻译具有适用性。 With the development of globalization, the economic and cultural exchanges among various countries are closer together. Film and television works is a popular form of culture, a large number of Western films sought after by Chinese people. However, the research of subtitle translation started late in our country, lacking of the industry standard and systematic guidance, resulting in the good and bad translation quality. This essay attempts to analyze the subtitle translation from English to Chinese in the movie “Happy Knocking Door” from the perspective of functionalist teleology, trying to explain that teleology is applicable to subtitle translation.
