《歌代啸》自发现以来其著者一直未能确定,今人多从前人的传闻中将该剧列于徐渭名下,至20世纪90年代王长安先生通过将该剧与徐渭人生及艺术志趣相类比,以双方存在一致性为据断定该剧为徐渭作。2010年,孙书磊先生依据今存南京图书馆典藏旧精抄本《歌代啸》的版本信息否定该剧为徐渭作,并进一步论证该剧作者实为“虎林冲和居士”。仔细推敲此一问题前后争论的所持依据,都缺乏可靠性。在没有足够的证据支撑以前,《歌代啸》作者还是应以存疑为宜。 Since the discovery of “Song of Generation”, the author has not been able to confirm that many people are from the rumors of predecessors listed in the name of Xu Wei.
