First, the light truck In the United States, light truck rollover accidents caused by the death rate is twice the passenger car fatality. On April 11, 1991, NHTSA announced the extension of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 216: “Roof Crashing” to light goods vehicles. From September 1, 1993 onwards, the new light goods vehicles and van requirements comply with the roof crash criteria.
