2003年上半年我区共发生道路交通事故7646起.造成1827人死亡、6940人受伤、直接经济损失3589.91万元,交通事故四项指数全面下降。事故起数、死亡人数、直接经济损失分别比去年同期下降9.61％、2.56％、12.56％和1.00％。其中重、特大交通事故1636起,造成1827人死亡、1265人受伤、直接经济损失1176.22万元,分别比去年同期下降3.88%、2.56％、12.46％和上升4.15％。上半年我区道路交通事故的主要特点如下:
In the first half of 2003, a total of 7,646 road traffic accidents occurred in our district, causing 1,827 deaths and 6,940 injured. The direct economic loss was 35,897,100 yuan, and the four indexes of traffic accidents dropped in an all-round way. Incidents, death toll and direct economic loss decreased by 9.61%, 2.56%, 12.56% and 1.00% respectively over the same period of last year. Among them, 1,636 were heavy and super-large-scale traffic accidents, causing 1,827 deaths and 1265 wounded and direct economic losses of 11,762,200 yuan, a decrease of 3.88%, 2.56%, 12.46% and 4.15% respectively over the same period of last year.
