Objective To investigate the effects of swimming and touching on the neonatal body weight and jaundice. Methods From March 2012 to March 2015, 90 newborns born in MCH hospital of Yongxin County were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine obstetrical service, and the observation group was given swimming service on the basis of the control group. The changes of body weight and jaundice index in two groups were compared, and the incidence of jaundice was statistically analyzed. Results At birth, there was no significant difference in neonatal body weight and jaundice index between the two groups (P> 0.05). After birth, the neonatal weight of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the index of jaundice was lower than that of the control group Statistical significance (P <0.05). The incidence of neonatal jaundice in the observation group was 24.4% (11/45), which was lower than that in the control group (55.6%, 25/45). The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Neonatal swimming and touching can significantly improve the neonatal body mass and jaundice, prevention of jaundice.
