心理语言学家历来就认为情感是人的心理机制中心。因此,没有充分的情感,就缺乏强大的学习动力,就不能显现充沛的学习精力;没有融洽的师生关系,就不可能激发教学双方的热情乃至激情,也不能产生持久的良好的教学效应。在我们的日常教学过程中,应该主动的把英语教学和情感教育有机的结合起来,创建多种合作的学习活动,促进学生之间相互学习,相互帮助,体验集体荣誉感和合作意识。学生只有对英语、英语文化学习有积极的态度,才能激发学习英语的动力并提高学习成绩。消极的情绪不仅会影响学习的效果,还会影响自己的长远发展。因此,在英语日常教学中,老师应该自始至终关注学生的情感,营造宽松、活跃、民主、和谐的课堂教学氛围。
