Objective To analyze the epidemic situation of schistosomiasis in Hubei Province in 2014 and to know the prevalence of schistosomiasis in the province. Methods According to the requirements of “the monitoring plan of schistosomiasis in Hubei Province” (2009 edition), 207 representative monitoring sites were set up in 63 schistosomiasis endemic counties (cities and districts) in 13 cities across the province to carry out schistosomiasis Disease and snail monitoring, and to monitor the implementation of prevention and control measures to investigate. Results Of the 207 schistosomiasis surveillance sites in Hubei Province in 2014, 27 were detected without positive blood tests and 129 were without fecal positive samples. Residents of schistosomiasis infection rate of 0.17%, cattle infectivity rate of 0, average density of live snails 0.339 3 /0.1 m2, with a screw frame was 10.12%, snail infection rate of 0. Among the different epidemic types, the infection rate of schistosomiasis was the highest among inhabitants in embankment, 0.22%; in the different age groups, the infection rate of schistosomiasis was the highest in residents of 50 ~ age group, 0.3%; schistosomiasis among peasants and fishermen of different occupations Higher rates were 0.21% and 0.67%, respectively. No migratory schistosome infection was found in all the monitoring sites in 2014, and no acute schistosome infection was observed. Conclusion The epidemic situation of schistosomiasis in Hubei Province dropped significantly. The epidemic indexes of schistosomiasis in Shaanxi Province all reached the standard of control of schistosomiasis transmission.
