“人本管理”就是在充分认识人性的基础上,通过有效的方法,来抑制人性的弱点,最大限度地发挥人性的潜能、智慧、创造力,使人在创造财富实现组织效益的同时实现自身的价值。人本管理思想的核心,就是“以人为本”也是当今最推崇的管理方法。图书馆也应借鉴这一管理思想,来改变长期以来图书馆的管理落后,队伍建设不稳定的局面。图书馆引入人本管理思想就是要坚持以人为本,以人为本是实现管理的基本思想,其关键是造就大批敬业、勤业、精业的人才,做好人的工作,提高馆员素质是管理的主要内容,它将使整个图书馆运作自如。在管理上必须运用思想工作和经济手段相结合的办法,建立既有竞争激励,又有责任约束力的管理机制,求得人自身的价值和社会价值的充分体现,来保证图书馆队伍能合理的、有生机的、更好的发展。
