On the basis of careful reading of the text, this article demonstrates the patriarchal social culture that Mary encountered in the process of her growth , Economic, ethnic and natural oppression, as well as its serious harm to the spiritual psychology of Mary, Mary’s self-salvation efforts and failures, elaborating the author’s theme about the predicament of women’s existence and the pursuit of women’s self-identity.
