Hello,I’m Pinocchio(匹诺曹). Do you know me? If I tell a lie(说谎),my nose grows longer. I am from the Czech Republic(捷克共和国). It’s famous for making puppets(木偶). There are many puppet shops and theaters(剧院) in the Czech Republic.
My homeland(家乡) is a small country in Europe(欧洲). It’s beautiful and quiet. Czech(捷克的) people are friendly. Let me show you around.
彩色的城市
Prague(布拉格) is the capital(首都) city. There are many houses with bright(明亮的) colors. The houses have red roofs(屋顶) and yellow walls.
捷克的饺子
Czech people like pork the best. Most Czech dishes(菜) are made of pork. They also like dumplings. The dumplings are made of eggs and bread. People often eat them with roast pork(烤猪肉). But the dumplings look quite(相当) different from ours.
房子会“跳舞”
Does this look like(看上去像) two dancers(舞者)? The right side(边) is a “man”,and the other side is a “woman”. They are “dancing” to the music. The house is an office building(办公大楼) now.
《鼹鼠的故事》小主角
This is Little Mole(小鼹鼠). He is one of the most popular cartoon characters(卡通人物) in the world. He is also from the Czech Republic. He often comes up with(想出) many interesting ideas.
女巫节
The witch-burning(燃烧女巫) festival(节日) is an old festival in the Czech Republic. It’s on April 30 every year. It celebrates(庆祝) the coming of spring. Kids usually dress up as(打扮成) witches. People make a bonfire(篝火). They throw(扔) straw witches(稻草女巫) into it.

Czech women like to dress up(打扮). They love to wear black and red dresses to parties. Men usually wear hats. There is a feather(羽毛) in the hat. When they get married(結婚),they will pick off(摘下) the feather.
