开发民族文化为主的课程资源是一个复杂而又漫长的实践过程。宁夏民族中小学在校本课程资源开发的文化选择过程中成绩和问题并存。在宁夏民族中小学开发校本课程资源,应较为系统地、综合地把民族文化中最为经典的、具有代表性的文化资源选进课程之中,使校本课程在反映与传承宁夏与回族文化的过程中发挥课程对民族地区和民族特点的适应性的功用,为宁夏文化、回族文化、回汉学生的发展服务。
