“从一扇黑油的竹门进去,第三间是书房.中间挂着一块扁道:三昧书屋;扁下面是一幅画,画着一只肥大的梅花鹿伏在古树下.没有孔子牌位,我们便对着那扁和鹿行礼.第一次算是拜孔子,第二次算是拜先生.”——这古怪的书屋,给人一个疑问:为什么向扁和鹿行礼就算拜孔子和先生呢? 有人曾解释为:“鹿”和“禄”谐音,是教育学生为升官发财而读书.此说我不能赞同:1、儒家的道德规范是君子的“重义而轻利”,岂能以取俸禄为教学目的,且拜倒在“利”的下面?2、书?先生寿镜吾是一个甘于过淡泊生活,不愿做官的人,当然不会拿读书做官的信条去教育学生.
