Africa is rich in oil and gas resources and is one of the major sources of China’s oil and gas imports. With the deepening of the great discovery of oil and gas in East Africa, there is increasing room for oil and gas cooperation between China and Africa. Compared with the traditional oil and gas-rich regions in Africa such as West Africa and North Africa, East Africa is closer to Asia and has a more convenient route for oil and gas trade. Asia’s oil and gas demand powers have come here after the great discovery of oil and gas in East Africa. Japan, South Korea, India and Chinese enterprises have started to invest in the project or strive for oil and gas trading opportunities.
