China’s natural gas output will at least double the present volume in the coming decade to reach 150 billion to 200 billion cubic meters, according to PetroChina Vice President Jia Chengzao. As the country’s leading natural gas producer, PetroChina alone has reported an annual output rise of 10 billion cubic meters for two consecutive years. “We will strive to keep the same growth rate this year,” said Jia. His company produces about 75 percent of China’s total natural gas output.
