由于历史、文化以及地缘等多种因素的影响,美国人对中国文化的了解比之我们对西方文化的了解,有着巨大反差,很多美国人对中国文化几乎一无所知。然而,也有相当一部分美国人对古老悠久的传统中国文化具有浓厚的兴趣,传统中国画受到不少美国画家的青睐就是说明。为使广大读者了解美国画家对中国画的认识,本期《窗口》特约几位美国画家,就他们学习中国画的感受从不同角度谈了一点看法,读起来颇有意趣。特约学术主持:陈林 Due to historical, cultural and geographical factors, there is a huge contrast between Americans’ understanding of Chinese culture and our understanding of Western culture. Many Americans have little knowledge of Chinese culture. However, a considerable number of Americans are also deeply interested in the ancient and long-standing traditional Chinese culture. The traditional Chinese painting is favored by many American painters. In order to help readers know more about American artists’ understanding of Chinese painting, several American painters in this issue of the “Window” talked a little about their perceptions of Chinese painting from a different point of view and read quite interesting.
