1理解通风控制型火灾有助于消防队员们在现场作出更有效的灭火救援决策2008年,国土安全局授权项目“古建古迹和民用住宅建筑火灾的通风控制研究”中美国保险商试验室消防员安全研究所的研究结果极大地挑战了消防队训练指南中广泛认可的火灾增长曲线理论。此项目的研究揭示了建筑内部火灾燃烧情况和建筑外火灾增长曲线的差别,并指出经典火灾增长曲线理论忽略了氧气减少造成的影响这一情况(见图1)。
1 Understanding Ventilation Controlled Fires Help Firefighters Make More Effective Firefighting and Rescue Decisions in the Field In 2008, the Homeland Security Agency authorized the project “Insulation Control of Ancient Historic Sites and Civil Residential Buildings for Fire Control” The results of the research conducted by the Fire Safety Institute have greatly challenged the fire growth curve theory widely recognized in the Fire Brigade Training Guidelines. The project’s study reveals the differences between the internal combustion fires and the external fire growth curves and points out that the classical fire growth curve theory ignores the effects of oxygen reduction (see Figure 1).
