立体空间、体积结构的艺术表现一直是雕塑造型研究的重点之一。20世纪初随着西方工业革命的高速发展及工业产品造型、实用主义对人们艺术审美观念的影响,涌现出了如布朗库西、维隆、贾柯梅蒂、扎克丁等在雕塑艺术上革新,颠覆传统艺术造型观念的雕塑艺术家,他们的一批作品简约中蕴含着对雕塑立体结构进行抽象、提纯,与传统雕塑艺术截然不同,在20世纪初的雕塑创作中极具代表性。无论这些作品采用了何种形式,使用了何种材料,抑或是表现的内容各有所别均因其新的形态出现而成为分析这一时期雕塑艺术发展的重要对象。法国巴黎蓬皮杜艺术中心侧旁的布朗库
