目前我国各类大学都有图书馆和系（学院）文献资料室。文献资料室的服务工作比图书馆的专业性强，它肩负着为造就高精尖人才提供知识信息的重要使命，已成为各专业研究的重要组成部分。因此，发挥文献资料的作用，是提高文献资料管理工作质量的关键。不断改革创新、不断加强管理人员思想政治素质建设，应是及时发挥文献资料作用的最佳举措。
At present, all kinds of universities in our country have libraries and departments (college) literature and reference rooms. The service of literature library is more specialized than that of the library. It shoulders the important mission of providing knowledge and information for the creation of sophisticated talents and has become an important part of various professional researches. Therefore, to play the role of literature is the key to improve the quality of literature management. Constantly carrying out reforms and innovations and constantly strengthening the ideological and political quality of management personnel should be the best measures for giving timely play to the role of literature and information.
