This paper uses the typology method, combined with the coexistence of artifacts and dating data to discuss the era of the three-legged copper bronze sword in Southwest China. The main prevailing time is thought to be in the early and middle period of the Warring States period rather than the Western Han Dynasty. Secondly, the origin of the trigeminal grid copper sword is discussed according to its age and distribution. It is considered that the conclusion that the trigeminal grid sword originated from the northern grassland area is acceptable from the distribution of the combined sword. Archeology chronology and scientific archeology clues may show that the spread of the trigeminal copper sword is not a direct single-line transmission, the Northwest and Southwest copper sword or its own development sequence, and the trigeminal copper handle iron sword by the local Copper sword self-developed. This research shows that the “spreading of the semicircular cultural transmission belt” should be complex and pluralistic.
