In the recent years, new models of magma formation in the subduction zone have been developed. With the appearance of new facts and experimental results concerning volcanic eruptions associated with subduction, they are gradually emerging from their fantasy. This paper presents a more specific model of magma generation based on recent research. When observing the distribution of volcanic rocks of the same age on Earth, most of them are banded or chained. This band arrangement can be seen from large to small scale.
