我省长江河段(即长江九江河段)堤防全长216公里,其中城市堤防19公里,仅占总堤线的9％,农村堤防19 7r公里(包括江洲、棉船等江心洲堤防94公里),占91％,分布在九江市的瑞昌、九江、湖口、彭泽四个郊区县和市区农村。万亩以上圩堤9座(包括已列入国家水利基建项目的九江长汀大堤梁公、赤心、永安三堤段),千亩以上圩堤17座,百亩以上圩堤3座。只有九江长江大堤的防洪标准按抗御湖口水位22.5米的相应水位设计的,其余堤段的抗洪标准均较低。
