(Overview) The so-called “soil nailing” (Soil nailing) is based on the rules laid metal rod to strengthen the original soil. This technique has evolved as a way to both economically and safely reinforce soils. This paper discusses some soil mechanics properties of nailing in almost uncured soil with almost clayey soil, and briefly describes the intension and scope of four years of research and development progress, including four large-scale field trials. Earth pressure and deformation data during the construction phase and safely loaded state will help us to establish some design criteria. The main part of this paper is about the limit state. According to field test and indoor model test, a variety of damage mechanisms
