Accuracy can be defined as the proximity of a series of repeated weighing results under the same assumed conditions. These results are generally expressed as standard deviation. Accuracy is often misinterpreted as a measure of accuracy; accuracy and accuracy are significantly different, and such confusion may lead to significant violations of ISO-related weights and measures. The fact is that the accuracy between gauges or labs can be high, but the accuracy gets worse by orders of magnitude. Balances that are poorly maintained or of poor quality may have good reproducibility, however, their accuracy may be very poor. simple
