The moon is empty, even the shadow of the vines shines out. There is a white and wide light in the mist of the Mediterranean. The lights of the old house on the bank wink silently. The glare of the locomotive runs on the headland wall. It was a holiday - St. Catherine’s Day, where men sat around the table, drinking fruit wine or absinthe. How was my farm far away in the United States? The time was different on that side, but I also had a toast for St. Catherine’s Day, so I did not have to think hard. I think the other side of the moon is also to the southeast, just as it once was, where the mountains of Paucouli were, above the Sea of Santa Fe.
