Since the extracts of Alnus japonica leaves have strong antioxidant activity, the active constituents were isolated and structurally identified, and compared with known antioxidants, the activity of their derivatives was explored. Methods: Determination of antioxidative activity: Determination of superoxide anion scavenging activity and DPPH, AAPH free radical scavenging activity by nitrous acid method and cytochrome C method.
