韶山铁路从湘黔线上的马铺站(韶山铁路通车后更名为向韶车站)出岔,途经一县二市,即湘潭县、湘乡市、韶山市。设向韶、银田、韶山3个车站,全长21.8公里,总投资900多万元,1967年2月施工,1967年底竣工通车,投入运营。修建韶山铁路,从头至尾,我投入了极大的热情。当时我是长沙铁道学院工程系63级在校大学生,参加了发起修建韶山红色铁路倡议
Shaoshan Railway from Hunan and Guizhou line horse shop station (Shaoshan Railway opened to Shaoguan station) out of turn, via a county two cities, namely Xiangtan County, Xiangxiang City, Shaoshan City.
