Ian M. Banks, a contemporary Scottish writer, pays close attention to the question of gender identity of mankind. He envisions the future gender-oriented bisexual and homo mode in the science fiction series Civilization. As a masterpiece of the “Civilization” series, “Gamers” challenged the viewpoint of radical feminism about the issue of fertility as a key factor in gender equality on gender issues. The introduction of the neutral character-led authoritarian empire “Azad ”, which decides the personal social status of the game, points out that the superiority of radical feminists in insisting on femininity may lead to essentialism and trigger new Gender inequality. He therefore envisions a flexible physiological gender that achieves gender equality while preserving gender differences and respects the traditional fertility of women as mothers who nurture their offspring. Gender is just a sketch of Banks’ thinking of social issues. He is deeply wary of the “impulse of selfishness and mutual hatred” in human nature, thinking that essentialist thinking is like an echo of history and is “primitive” “Hidden in the human nature, not only threatens the gender equality, but also threatens the ideal ” civilized "society’s future.
