数学应用的广泛性是数学科学的基本特征之一,可说尽人皆知。在基础教育和大学非数学专业的数学教学中,应该特别注意应用,本来也是理所当然的事。但在这几年,一谈到数学教育的基本要求,却只是纯数学的知识和技巧。有些同志甚至把应用和极“左”思潮联在一起,因而要与之划清界限的情形。在这样的情况下,作为教学一部分的数学高考也受到了影响。翻阅近几年的高考数学试题,大量的是纯粹数学技巧,缺少一点应用数学知识的味道。这种题又反过来影响基础数学教育,使基础数学教育更加脱离中、小学生的日常生活、未来的社会需要和国家的工农业生产建设,其后果真令人担忧。要使高考试题体现数学的应用性,我们想对以下几种看法谈一些意见,供研讨。
The wide application of mathematics is one of the basic characteristics of mathematics, and it is well known. In basic mathematics education and non-math mathematics teaching, special attention should be paid to the application. This is naturally a matter of course. However, in these few years, when it comes to the basic requirements of mathematics education, it is only the knowledge and skills of pure mathematics. Some comrades have even linked the application to the “Left” trend of thought and thus draw a line with it. Under such circumstances, the mathematics college entrance examination as a part of teaching has also been affected. Reading the mathematics questions of the college entrance examination in recent years, a large number of pure mathematics skills, lacks the taste of applying mathematical knowledge. This kind of question in turn affects the basic mathematics education, so that the basic mathematics education is more separated from the daily life of elementary and middle school students, the future social needs, and the country’s industrial and agricultural production and construction. The consequences are really worrying. To make the exam questions reflect the application of mathematics, we would like to discuss some of the following views for discussion.
