父亲节即将来临，它并不仅仅是一个纪念父亲的日子，像叔叔、爷爷和成年男性朋友都会在父亲节里受到祝福。在父亲节到来之际，让我们祝愿天下所有的父亲们节日快乐！
Mrs Dodd， of Washington， first suggested the idea of a “Father’s Day” in 1909.MrsDoddwantedaspecial day to honor her father， William Smart. His wife died in childbirth（分娩）with their sixth child. Mr Smart was left to raise the newborn (新生儿) andhisotherfive children by himself on a rural (乡村的)farm in eastern Washington state. It was after Mrs Dodd became an adult thatshe realizedthestrengthand selflessness(无私)herfatherhad shown in raising his children as a single parent.
1909年，华盛顿州的多德夫人第一次提出了设立“父亲节”的想法。她想定一个特别的日子纪念她的父亲——威廉·斯马特。他的妻子在生第6个孩子的时候死于难产。他不得不在华盛顿州东部的一家农场把这个新生儿和其他5个孩子含辛茹苦地拉扯成人。直到成年之后，多德夫人才深深地意识到她的父亲作为一名单身家长在养育孩子时所表现出来的力量和无私奉献的精神。

In 1966，President Johnson signed a presidential proclamation (宣言) declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as Father’s Day.
1910年6月19日，华盛顿州庆祝了第一个父亲节。同时，美国的许多城镇都开始庆祝这个节日。1966年，约翰逊总统签署了总统宣言，宣布6月的第3个星期日为父亲节。
Father’s Day has become a day to not only honor your father， but all men who as a father figure(角色). Uncles， grandfathers， and adult male friends are all honored on Father’s Day.
父亲节不仅仅是向父亲致敬的节日，而且也是所有扮演父亲角色的人们的节日。叔叔、爷爷和成年男性朋友都会在父亲节得到祝福。
