It is no accident that the liberal ideology, which originated in Europe and was born in the Middle Ages and was born in a civil society, can eventually take root in North America. It is inextricably linked with the influence of Christian culture. The environment and practice of the early colonies in the United States enabled the development of liberalism in Christianity: from the Christian freedom concept to the citizen freedom concept, from the Christian contract perspective to the personal freedom concept. The religious and ethnic diversity of the North American colonies in turn fostered American liberalism. Pioneers in the founding of the United States accepted and carried forward the European tradition of Christian culture and liberalism so that the spirit of freedom, democracy and equality would be deeply rooted in the North American continent. Therefore, religious freedom in the United States has been the cornerstone of economic freedom and political freedom in the United States from the very beginning. As a result, Christianity has become the source of American liberalism.
