If humans disappear, the earth will thrive; if the ants disappear, thousands of creatures will disappear. At the beginning of the 20th century, the famous British physicist Rutherford once proudly declared that science was philatelic besides physics. His discourse shows contempt and disdain for the natural history of science in science. After entering the 20th century, the research content of various sciences has become more and more meticulous. There have been very few “philatelic” naturalist scholars in the past. However, there are always some non-aligned people who prefer to study what others disdain. Today’s American biologist Edward Wilson is one of them. He has a special interest in a small thing.
