The United States industrial hygiene and occupational medicine, from the seventies have obvious changes. The Occupational Safety and Health Law promulgated in 1970 requires that work places not be harmed by workers and comply with sanitary standards; to maintain workers’ access to statutory poisons and to regular medical examinations; and to establish occupational health programs at factories and mines. This occupational health plan is actually a concrete embodiment of labor and health services and a scientific management method of health and safety. It has a positive effect on improving the working environment and preventing occupational diseases.
